EXTRAVAGANZA CONCERT--Special performance with the Xtring Quartet:
Selim
Firat, guitar, Francisco López, guitar and tiple, Raquel Paraíso,
violin and mandolin, and Enrique Rueda, bandola and tiple. This concert
promises to be a real treat. The Xtring Quartet will play Colombian
music (bambucos, pasillos, and danzas) while projecting some photographs
from their last trip to Colombia on January 2006. Meriter

in Community Education) program since 1995. They have been successfully
working with 4th graders (“Children of Wisconsin, Children of the
World: Ethnographers”) and inspiring hundreds of children to create
a better world through music and the understanding of different cultures.
